Just the four stars since 1 month isn’t long enough to properly evaluate the durability and resilience of the pants (the foremost concern with an item at this price point, for me)..otherwise the combination of comfort and drape, pocket variety and placement and general good looks is excellent value for money. I’m most pleased that there’s just enough stretch in a fabric of this substantial weight, and despite that it has the right personality (for lack of a better word) in the way it resembles a work pant rather than a swishy activewear piece. hoping they are resilient to acquire some beausage as the years go by!
I love the Nelson Pant. It's conception is neat, versatile and extremely durable. I just bought my 2nd pair. Been using my first one since 2017 I think, which was the beige color model. it's still in good shape and will serve for many more climbs, but has multiple stains on it (blood and tree sap) and since most of my other pants were worn out, I needed new ones. The only negative point I have is this pant lacks a little bit of stretch, but its not an issue to most routes. Perfect for rough climbing conditions like Yosemite, Indian Creek, Joshua Tree and other places where you need to become intimate with the rock! --- Dan Ti-Bum Morin ---
Fit is better. More relaxed fit allows for more freedoms of movement and breathability
The only pants I own in both colors . Perfect for climbing but also for cycling I’ve found . Extremely comfortable for what is a very durable and well reinforced item of clothing . I have found my climbing plants for life
These pants are built to last! I’ve backpacked Peru in them, gone on tough day hikes, and climbed multi-pitch routes and they have no wear or tear on them yet. They have a slimmer fit to them so you can still look good while putting in work. My only complaint is, I have the black color and the dye faded a bit after a couple washes. I’ve spoken with Foehn about it and they’re on top of it already working on a solution. They’re still my go to pants when headed out into tough terrain outdoors. Probably better for cooler weather because they are thicker pants for more durability. I’ll be getting the coyote color for sure. Foehn is a great company worth supporting!
